PATS Trouble/Remote Starter

'99 F150 with PATS. Installed remote starter and was working fine then while truck was started tried to place everything up underneath the stearing column. Truck then shutoff and Theft Light began to blink. Tried remote starter again and nothing, then tried Key itself and the accessories and everything comes on but wont turn over or even attempt to turn over. Unplugged battery, remote starter and universal alarm bypass and let sit for about an hour. Hooked up battery then everything else and tried again but the same it just wont turn over and I have the Theft light still blinking.

Does anyone have any idea of how to get this alarm reset or if it may be something else. I have checked all of the wires and everything seems to be hot and hooked up ok but i still get nothing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you hit me up on AOL on my phone. Then by luck I came across this here.

Need to have a few questions answered so I can come up with a few things to check.
  1. What make and model number system are you installing
  2. When you say blinking. Is the THEFT light blinking fast or just the repetitive flash every 5 or so seconds.
  3. When you try to start the truck with the key and it doesn't turn over. Does the THEFT light start to flash quickly?

Leave the ignition switch on for 'several minutes' to see if the PATS lamp will return a code telling you what it thinks the general fault is.
You need all the help you can get.
