Question high beam indicator light?

hows this stupid hi beam indicator light suppose to work? cuz its on half way (not full on brightness and seems to flicker lightly) when im driving around now, lights on or off and its on. the switch is in the lo-beam position. for a long time the light never made an appearance and now it is, half assedly.

Could be having problems with the multifunction switch.

no leaking of the windshield to my knowledge, altough it does smell musty once in a while if i dont drive it for a few days. so probably?

LCM =?

torkum: i am aware of that as a possibility, i have had to resolder the right turn signals wire. also i have issues with the intermittent wiper function and the spray function. if it was the MFS, would it allow the switch to / from hi / lo beams and still have that light appear out of nowhere? it hasnt worked since i put my projectors in, and now its appearing to be getting some sort of power.

Get yourself a copy of the Haynes book and look on page 12-23.
There you will see the hi beam indiator works off the head lamps hi side then thru a fuse then the multifunction switch. You don't have DRL.
You have generated a cross at some point with your work that is supplying an intermittant power source with some high resistance to the hi beam dash lamp. IMO if you check the hi beam lines at the head lamps with a meter you might see the same indication but of course the headlites take so much more current that they won't light up from the fault.

your opinion of why this happens 1 year after the install?

Since I don't know exactly what and how the work was done, anything from poor soldering, wire ends crossing etc could be the reason.
It really makes no difference when or how long ago anything was done.
The problem is there somewhere.
I looked at the drawing and can get pretty close to what has happened circuit wise but not physically.
My crystal ball is not that good.

polish it some more? maybe you can see!

i did soldering on the park circuit (halo's and LED's), and i admit, i suck at it and i hate it lol. which was then spliced/tapped into the park circuit. the rest was the way the manufacturer sent it to me. it had 1 harness to the truck which branched off to the hi / projector.

so in theory your thinking is i crossed the lo beam and high at the headlights wiring correct?

maybe i need to look into other's projectors headlight wiring and compare to my own? see if maybe i got shafted and got a effed up set? aside from the one fogging up, GAH!

uhm drove it today to work and back noticed the light changed from blue to kinda a green... thought the bulb fell out but that doesnt explain the light being on w/o illumination lights on.

maybe its falling apart inside?
