Keyless remote entry doorpad help
Keyless remote entry doorpad help
Ok I just purchased a 2004 Ford F150. It came with 2 remotes and a keypad on the driver door. Both remotes work. The keypad is however giving me much of a headache. It was stated that it was installed AFTER the original purchase so it is not an original part of the truck. The dealer is stating that they could not determine what the code to the device was. So I have been searching several forums to find some help on this.
I have looked for the RAP module that supposedely has the factory code on it to no avail. I need this factory code to reprogram the device and need help in finding the RAP. Does anyone have any idea where I can locate the RAP module. What it looks like. I am very frustrated and am seeking help.
Thanks in advance.

wish I could help....I have an 04 lariat....did a google search for RAP....it is NOT where they say it is....at least not on my truck....have the factory manual on DVD and it's a lazy sunday here so I'll do a lil searching for you
The RAP / CSM was in the pre 04 MY ( the up under the dash trick for getting the factory code ).
The 04 and newer MY trucks have a BSM/VSM. The BSM/VSM is either behind the rear seat ( SCab and SCrew body ) or behind the driver's side rear corner panel for the std cab ( where the rear speaker is at ).
Here is a thread on how to remove the rear seat, if you have a SCab / SCrew :

Good Luck
