Unhappy Door code

I have an 06 screw and i lost the code for the door. I went to the dealer today and they pulled up a code in their computer but when they tried it no go. They are telling me that they need my truck for a couple hours so they can hook up to my computer and get the code from it. Is there any other way for me to find/get the code? Thanks in advanced for everyone’s help.

Mine came with a plastic card that had a code on and I stuck it in the owners manual. Also the dealer programed a code in that I made up so I could remember it easier.

The code on the pre '04s was on the RAP/CSM, which is located above the parkng brake.
Now on the 04+ this is a Body Security Module, which seems to be located in the rear pillar on the driver's side of the truck, in a std cab, just below the rear speaker.
In a SCab and SCrew the BSM seems to on the back of the cab, about 14" over from the corner, of the driver's side. This would make it behind the rear seat back.
I don't know if I will have time anytime soon to take apart the back of the truck, ot see if this is where the BSM is located, and if Ford even kept up with putting the code on a sticker, on the module.
If you have time, maybe yanking apart the back to see if it is on a sticker there ?? Got me, I don't have time to do a search to see if Bluegrass or JMC have posted about this already.

Good luck, if you dive into it, let us know what the outcome is.

My '05 SCab had it behind the back seat. Nice big sticker But then I'm the type to keep all the paperwork, so I have the tag in the manual.

Have not had a chance to look yet, but was it behind the 60 side on the diver's side ? How hard is the rear seat back to get out ?

Thanks

Not bad once you get the hang of it, there are clips that must be released then it slides straight up. Need a long ( 9" ) screwdriver up through the notch on the lower bracket to release them.

I have some pics in my gallery,

NOTE : The clips do have a bit of a hook to the end, so don't lift until you have them pushed back or all you do is deform them.

Please forgive, but does the seat bottom have to be un-bolted and removed to gain the clips that you have in your pics?
Thanks, Duggins

No, it is not necessary to unbolt the seat bottoms.

Thanks for the reply. But, sorry for being a dunce. I have your pics, pics from a Ford manual and still can't get the seat out!!! One last question, do you gain access to the clips with the rear seat bottom down or tilted up. Up position leaves no access and with it down, I can't see how to get a long screw driver inplace... If U feel like one last bit of info, I'd appreciate it. Trying to save $87 plus local tax.
Thanks,
Duggins

The Ford dealer would have to get a computer and hook it up...then to access that module, there is a wait time of like 20 minutes or something where the computer just counts down...that's to prevent you leaving your truck somewhere and someone just running out and getting the info with some type of computer...

Also, on the older explorers, we used to bypass that whole step by removing the panel and shining a flashlight into the space where the module was...there was a sticker on them. Seems like that is what is being referred to above.

Talking Rear seat back removal

Not sure who's gallery you looked at, here's one of mine https://www.f150online.com/galleries...w.cfm?num=9218

It's kind of hard to see, but there is a notch in the bracket to put a rod or small shaft, 1/4" approx, down through to release the catch to be able to lift the back seat out.

DO NOT PUT ANY UPWARD PRESSURE BEFORE RELEASING THE CLIPS!!!!!

There is a slight hook on the end of the clips and they will not release under pressure.

When I first did mine I took two pieces of PVC and slid between the botton and back to see what I was doing, then pressed down on the top of the seat to release the pressure before pushing on the clips
