1. Dumb question..have you tried changing the bulbs ?

2. Have you used a meter in the S/T/T socket, to see if you have power with the brakes on ?
2.1. At the same time, check the L & R Stop / turn circuits in the 4 pin trailer tow adapter with a meter.

The turn signals flashing real fast just clicked with me, that indicates that the flasher circuit cannot see the brake / turn signal element in the circuit.

These 3 things will help with pointing to what is going on.

Additional question :

4. I am guessing the truck will shift out of park, am I correct ?
4.1. This is part of the function for the BOO ( Brake On / Off ) switch, to get the shift interlock to release.

I'd be expecting the MFS or its connector to be the fault. It usually is if the BOO is working (3rd light works).

By 2000, the shift interlock was moved to a separate section of the BOO switch and isn't power by the same circuit.

Do the front turn signals work?

Damn, don't have a 2003 EVTM yet. Been downloading the DVD for a month - 5.5 gig on a slooooow circuit. Almost there....

MFS= Multi-Functions switch.

Turn signals, 4-way, wipers, etc on your column.

Remove the column shroud and inspect/reseat the connectors. Several user have reported pushed pins on these connectors. Look for discoloration of any pins indicative of heat buildup. Clean or replace any suspect pins.
