Radio Volume Problem

For te past three days the lady and I will be driving down the road. All of a sudden the radio will turn itself up or down.

Tonight was the boiling point for it. First it was funny, then tonight it went to 100% volume and wouldn't turn down til' I turned the radio off, and turned it back on.

Any help?

Not of specific help but if your radio has a control option that allows an automatic change in volume as engine and cab noise increase, it may be faulty working. Look in you owners manuel.
This option is setable from the front panel on a scale of like 1 to 5 or so. Try turning it off and see what happens.
If you still have warrenty let the dealer have it fixed.

Well no I checked that, that's the first thing I checked.

But it's not like that at all. I'll be driving down the road, and it'll turn itself up. A minute or so later, it'll turn itself down below what it originally was.

But I'll have the dealer run a check on it though.

Just an FYI if anyone was wondering what happened. The internals on my radio had gone bad. Dealer just gave me a new head unit this morning. Installed it and all for free.

Just wondering, do you have anything electronic aftermarket on the truck? I'm just thinking, for all my joy of using the factory HU on my audio install, I may be in store for the same... Any sound additions on yours?

I'm all for DIY stuff, and I know my fair share of electronics and wiring. But when it comes to that stuff, I'll leave it to the professionals.
