I would find it strange to happen already on an '05, but you might try replacing or swapping the Accesory delay relay.
The clicking sound could be the coil trying to release, but it is not working ???

Just a SWAG with the info given on the topic.

The left hand rear sound does not right a bell right now, I'll try to look it up in the EVTM when I get a chance.

Try the Accesory delay relay, and see if that does the trick.

It should be relay #02 in the fuse panel in the cab of the truck ( left hand kick panel ) Relay #03 ( high beam relay ) should be a full size ISO relay, that you could use to swap with or Relay #05 the battery charge relay for the factory tow package.
Good luck, let us know what happens

Same thing happened to my 91-7 F-150 Scab. It was after heavy rains that lasted several days. On the first sunny day,I opened the hood and let the sun dry out the engine compartment. The problem went away. X

I am having a very simalar problem right now. The i pulled the relay that was clicking and it set off a relay under the back seat. Ford is not having any luck finding it although when I dropped it off, the parking lights were flashing as if the hazards were on.

If you are taling about the interior lamps :

Per the '06 EVTM, the relay that I think might be clicking is the Battery Saver Relay R304 ( half size ISO relay ) , which you could switch with the Horn relay R305 ( to the right of R304 ) or with the trailer tow reversing relay R303, to the left of R304.

The accy delay relay does not run the interior lamps.

The Radio and Pwr windows ( if equiped ) are from the accy delay relay.

The left hand rear clicking, the only 2 things I can think of back there is the Power Folding Mirror Relay ( King Ranch ) and the BSM ( Body Security Module ). Do you have a rear window defrost on the truck or a power rear slider ? Those are the 2 things up in the air, which the Power Rear Slider runs off the Accy Delay relay as well.

Did you get a chance to swap the Accy Delay Relay ?

Is there a chance that Ford still has problems with a leaky windshield causing havoc in the GEM module or the power box as in the 97-03s?

You'd hope they'ed have figured that one out by 05...

Could be, but the fuse box is now over by the fuel inerita switch in the left hand kick panel. Hope the leak did not move with the fuse panel

My truck had the same kind of problem once, It would activate random accessories, switch on and off the interior lights, and the key warning chime wouldn't stip. It turned out to be a bad ground on an accessory that I had installed myself. The accessory was attached to the fuse panel to tell it when to turn on. When I fixed the ground, all my problems stopped. I figured you might have a cell phone or something wired up in your truck.

Since ford let the batery die before they got to work on it, they could not get the problem to duplicate itself. They did replace a bad motor for the power rear slider though.
