Door Ajar won't go off!!

I have a 97 150, and the door ajar light will not go off. I had to pull the fuse for the dome lights to keep from running the battery down. Anybody got any idea how to fix this? Just by reading through the posts it seems like the 97's have a lot of electrical problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

wd40

take some wd40 and spray quite a bit of it in the door latches. it wont hurt anything. what sometimes happens is the grease gue and gunk will build up and the latch wont close properly and the truck will not read the closed door.

99% of the time its dirty and the WD40 will fix it so you wont need to replace the sensor/switch.
