I remember seeing on Ford's website, a keypad for an '03 that was basically a remote unlock mechanism, but it stuck on, under your door handle as a kind of "Add on" keypad. Does anyone know the model number of this, or where I can order one? I don't see it anymore.

 

Ok. So after doing a search, I found this thread: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=130990 which is I think what I need(Not sure). It mentions you can buy a hard wired one for your truck as well. Is this true? If so, do I just go to my dealership, tell them what I want, and they can order it from Ford?

You have two options:

• Hardwire (new door handle, and possibly running extra wire)...highly dependant on what options your vehicle came with from the factory and lots of work.
• Use their "new" wireless keypad option (double sided tape to the outside of the vehicle)

The wireless option is nothing more than a glorified key "fob" that uses a pin code rather than the push of a simple button. Imagine mounting a key fob to the outside of your truck....
