I installed a cb radio in my '04 XLT. I probed wiring leading into the steering column to find a 12v source that was active only with the ignition on. The first wire I spliced into appeared to oscilate when I hooked the radio up. The second wire I spliced into works like I think it should. Somewhere in the process the compass quite working. It shows a dashed line where the direction used to display. Any suggestions before I take it to the dealer and tell them I was futzing with the wiring?
