Keyless Entry Question

My keyless entry remote for my 97 F-150 was dropped and broken recently, I found one on Ebay that matched my FCC number and the fellow said it would work. I bought it, but not received it yet. When I do get it, how do I program it to work on my truck?

Make sure you program all the remotes you want to use at that time.
The keyless entry does not work like programming additional PATs keys, where it adds one to the system. Programming keyless entry remotes is a overwrite all previous with the ones you just did, so if you program in the new one, all the others that did work in the past are gone.

Jeff has a post at the bottom of the page for this :

Press any button on tramsmitter, locks should cycle. Press any button on second, third, fourth.... trans., locks should cycle. Turn key to off position. All transmitters you just programmed should work, all previous transmitters not done that time will no longer work.
