Goofy Question- My Thermometer reads high

Always by right around 5 or 6 degrees. If it is 35 outside, it reads 40 or 41 and so on. Started doing it last November. Is there a recalibration procedure for the thermometer or do I have a problem? It's not like it's a big deal- just annoying. 2001 SCrew with the overhead console- temp/compass. Sensor location?

How is it when you first start in the morning? Before the truck warms up.

RF engine compartment area. 2 wires pink/black & lightblue/orange. Sensor is bullet shaped on one end.
