Airbag lights on, No horn and Cruise Control
greetings from the Philippines!
i'm a newbie here. got a 2001 F150 4x4Lariat, with 50K kms. runs fine. recently though, my Airbag readiness light in the instrument cluster remained lit, and my horn and Cruise Control won't work. (my horn chirps though when i lock it with the keyless remote).
what seems to be the problem?
this is one great site!!! sometimes, i can't get anything done at work by just reading through the board. learning a lot from you especially with the limited info we have here in the Philippines for our truck! thanks everyone.

The most likely cause is an open circuit in the clockspring.The clockspring is what connects the steering wheel to the steering column electrically. Horn,air bag and speed control circuits run through it.

Check the connectors that run along the steering column. They may not be properly seated. If they are ok, then it is the clockspring as mentioned.
