Angry theft proofing!

My dog woke me this morning to let me know my truck was getting messed with. Good ol boy!
Sure enough, some hacks were trying to break into my 97. I'm wondering how I can make it un-startable even if they break in. It has keyless entry with RAP. Should I put a hidden kill switch inline with the starter motor relay? Has anyone tried this?

I'm tee'd. It was stolen last year (luckily got it back repairable) and now they are trying to get it again.

Maybe I should just move...

Hello, and Welcome!!

For a couple of dollars you can exploit an existing technology in your truck.

Check out the attached thread.

Kill Switch

Good Luck, and give your dog a little something special for the effort.

Thumbs up

Excellent suggestion flafonman!

Also, keep the tailgait locked at all times to prevent it from 'walking off'. Your dog sure did earn a treat for this!!

unstartable

you can make your struck unstartable to a thief with simple buckshot, just apply liberally to the thief's head.

you can make the tailgate harder to take if you take a hose clamp, the screw type and put it around the end where the post passes through it to remove the tailgate..it's tricky but it will have 'em jerking thier heart out as you dial thier *** into your sight

I put a 3/8" X 20 3/4" wood dowel, painted black with vinyl tips in my slider track. I attached a cloth ribbon to it so I can remove it. Sliders are real easy to open. Oh yes, use a choke less paint damage.

Question theft proof

I thought F150's, or maybe 2000 newer, couldn't be hotwired anyways because of a chip in the key? Atleast that's what the dealer told me when i bought my 2000 lariat. Did he lie to me?
