Question Auto Down/Up Windows

Hey guys,

Curious to find out if anyone has installed something like this on their truck

AutoLoc

I really like the idea of having auto up/down window controls. I guess I would have to buy 4 units for my supercrew.

Is there another mod out there that anyone knows of that would allow you to convert your existing switches to auto down/up switches?

Thanks in Advance

-Ekim

Cool

EkimLesondak -

That module goes in-line with the wiring harness and the electric motor that operates the windows.

The window switch itself is not affected by this mod.

A friend of mine installed them on his wife's car. No problems at all.

And yes, you need 1 for each window.

Thanks B-Man,

I wonder if it will still function correctly on the drivers side auto down OEM feature? Really for the price it would be worth giving it a try.

I see my next mod!

I've got auto up/down on both windows on my truck. It was an additional feature to my window control module with my alarm. I can also roll the windows down with my key fob (2" at a time or all the way down), and the windows roll up when it arms...
$70 for one module for two windows in addition to any DEI alarm...

Closer9,

Can you give me some more information about your alarm and the one touch window feature. Where did you get your alarm? Do they have a web site? I have factory keyless entry...can it be set up to work with it? Sorry for all the questions...just trying toget all the info I can.

Thanks,

Ekim

It would be probably be easier to just have to read my reply in the above thread than retype it. I got the alarm from Best Buy $350 installed, plus I think another $60 for the PATS bypass module. I don't usually like to take my truck anywhere, but I know the guy that works there, and trust him... The modules I got from a place online called autotechs. You can find them at www.autotechs.com They are good to work with. Offer tech support, good about returning items and/or warranting them... I think all said and done I've got close to $650 in mine with parts and labor... again I don't usually let anyone work on my vehicles, but this was a major PITA, plus they have the equipment to program/customize the alarm, and most DEI products are only warranted when installed by certified pros... you can check out DEI/Directed equipment at www.directed.com

and it will override your factory keyless. You won't use your factory key fob anymore... it will also lock and unlock when you put it in gear or park, if your truck doesn't already...

hope that helps...
