No back lights...help please!

Yesterday I was driving out of a creek bottom at my deer lease and hit my 7-way on a rock. The wires going to it look okay some looked alittle smashed but not cut. I now don't have any power back there. My hasards don't work, no break lights, no park lights, no reverse lights and my license plate lights are also out. I've got a 7-way test plug with lights on it but none light up when I plug it in. I've checked all the fuses in the cab fuse box and the fuse box under the hood. Any ideas what might be the problem. I'm a little worried here. Thanks for any suggestions.

Ron

Not sure exactly what happened to it either, but it sounds like you have one heck of a dead short in it now. I wouldn't even bother trying to chase it out.
" YL3Z*13A576*GB " 7pin / 4pin connector and harness
Is the part number for the harness at your local dealership. Follow the existing cable from the back bumper along the driver's side frame rail. A couple of feet in (it may help to lower the spare) is a quick connect. I suppose you could start here first and see it just plain came unplugged when you bottomed out, if it didn't replace the harness with the aforementioned part.

Good luck

flafonman - that's exactly what I did yesterday. Dropped the spare tire and began tracing it out. That connector had come unplugged! Simply reconnected and everything worked. Much happier now.

Thanks
