Park Disable
I am having trouble taking the car out of park when you start it. Also the dome light is staying on for periods of time longer that expected 18-20 min.When you start the car the dome light used to go off and the doors lock when you put it in rev. or drive. About 2-3 months ago the doors quit locking and the dome light started staying on.Now the car will not go into gear after being shut off. Could this be a relay or fuses (yes I have checked the interior fuses in the dash)? Any help would be great.........

A little more info on what vehicle you have would probably help out, but follow the link attached and it should explain the mysterious light problem. I would also venture a guess that the sticking door switch would indicate a false open preventing the auto door lock feature from functioning correctly as well.
As for the the trans being hard to remove from Park; try a search, or post in the transmission forum: I have read about a similar problem before, but transmissions are not my strong point.
