Even with this installed, the body warranty is voided due to the excessive strain on the tailgate latch, and even to the point that the tailgate handle, once painted, is also part fo the problem.
This is what the dtc code 5284 is.
The full result code for 5284 :
Service manager has recieved daughter's orthodontist bill.
Electric Fan option installed on tailgate without Knudsen valve option, and some Canadian called Rocks truck ugly.
Tailgate handle has been painted.
Tailgate will not correctly aline any more
Pull engine to fix problem ( and replace the last 2 plugs on the drivers side ), by removing the cab.
And your lawn has chintz bugs and mangaknees in it.
How is that for a catch all ? <g>
