Hey Mike

I posted this in the engine forum, but I thought you might know. I did the turn key on while holding odometer button and it showed a code of d262. Mustang World showed it to mean Missing SCP Message. Do you have any idea what that is? Thanks in advance.

No, the truck is a 2002 PSD. The only thing I have done is disconnect the batteries. Could this have done this and if so is it something I need to get checked.

Skinny,

The info I posted was for an F-150. I will check for the PSD.

Regards

Hi Skinney,

I have to apologize, as we are a performance company, not a repair shop, so we don't diagnose vehicle problems that have nothing to do with the performance of the powertrain itself. Powertrain DTC's in these OBD-II's will always have the P prefix, and those are the only codes that we can help you with.

JMC has very kindly provided a lot of infomation in his response to you, as he has always done for years around here (thanks JMC!). What you are getting *may* be related to the disconecting of both batteries in the PSD, but I can tell you that this is not something that commonly happens when we disconnect the batteries on a PSD, so it sounds like something else may be going on here.

Don't hesitate to have your dealer check this out for you, you've got a brand new vehicle under warranty there.

Sorry I couldn't be more help to you directly, & good luck!
