How to unmarry Gryphon CS?

Selling my old truck and thinking of taking out the custom tuned EDGE CS and installing it into my 07 f150
Is it as simple as returning my 02 back to stock, then updating or plugging the programmer into the fusion network to wipe out the custom tune. Which will restore the canned tunes back onto it.
Then I should be able to install onto my 07 right?
I know PHP doesn't custom tune EDGE anymore but I believe I remember reading that they will "grand father" in customers that already have their EDGE CS programmers they sold..
Maybe I should just call them on that last part ha.

^^^ You got it all in one! ^^^

I recall the 'grandfather' statement as well.

While connected, it should reload the standard canned PHP tunes for use in yer new truck. You won't believe the throttle feel difference.

Id call 'em anyway to say 'Hi'!

As MGD said, you got it all in one, including the advice to call them.

However, I'm going to disagree with one little point he made about "canned PHP tune". As I remember, after a lot of back and forth between Edge and Bill at PHP, he was not allowed to make any changes to the canned tunes for the CS/CTS platforms like he did for the older monochrome units. Ultimately, this is part of what led PHP to stop offering custom tuning for the CS/CTS. Still, the canned Edge tunes are better than stock, so you'll still be ahead while you're waiting for the custom tunes.

Once agin - thankee fer the catch, Sir Jack!

Funny thang is, I dimly remembered something to that effect, but that remembrance never made it to me ol' fangertips

Was I also hallucinatiin' when I thought the CS/CTS canned calibrations ( from Edge) were slightly more refined than the previous EVO tuning?

Thank you both
Yes when I got the EDGE CS from PHP it was still calibrated from EDGE with all the EDGE info. It didn't get the PHP logo and info till the custom tunes.
Well looks like I need to order up some MIL eliminators for the 02 then since I don't have cats and the tune had them shut off.
Anyone have experience with the eliminators?

Other than the fact that they are Federally illegal to sell or us in he US of A? Nupe.

Yer talkin' rear O2's, right? I'd just install bungs and fresh Motorcraft or Bosch O2's and call it a day. No need to shut 'em off. Heck - I'd install fresh FRONT O2's while under there too. That will NEVER hurt.

Well since I'm catless on the truck I'm selling there is good chance it would throw a code. Just what i need when selling this truck is a cel.
In the new truck i won't be touching the cats since they are already technically high flow.
In Michigan we don't get annual inspection.

We will, of course, support all existing custom tuning customers, as we will still have access to Edge’s Fusion software. If, for any reason, this situation should change, we will continue to keep everyone informed. We will also continue to serve as Edge dealers, as we believe highly in the quality of their hardware products.
Ya! I hope this means me.

You sure you want to try to sell a vehicle without cats? You may not have inspection where you are, but that's against federal laws. Throw a pair of cheap universal cats on it and call it a day.

Update:
After 3 attempts and rebooting my computer I got Fusion to set my programmer back to EDGE CS canned tunes.
Loaded it in the truck and took it for a test drive.
I only did the tow tune since I use that for daily driving. You can really feel the different and I LIKE IT! ha
I didn't hammer on it only gave it about 1/2 throttle once and man it put me back. Its -15*f here and didn't want to wreck anything. Once it warms up I'll really try her. Being responsible of course.

Also I'm going to go the route that GLC said and get cheap universal cats. It would put me at ease not having to worry about the new owner getting pulled over and getting an emissions ticket.

It was probably just wishful thinking. As far as I know, the Edge calibrations did not evolve with the CS/CTS platforms.

Aww crap - I suppose I was confusing it with the 15051 EVO--> Gryphon PHP canned calibrations ...

Thankee, Jack.

So have you checked to see if your 2002 is getting a CEL without the tunes?

Yep about 15 miles later (was just getting it running since it is so cold here) and the cel came on
