Canned Tunes
Canned Tunes
So I just picked up a used PHP gryphon tuner. The seller set his truck back to stock before shipping it, but he had 2 custom tunes on it. Is there a way to get rid of the 2 custom tunes and get the 2 original canned tunes back on?
Thanks

There's also a pdf instruction manual you'll need....

88Racing's left this out: Once you have Pegasus installed on your PC and have started it (have it open/running), plug the Gryphon in. This should cause the appropriate drivers to be installed. DO NOT plug the Gryphon into your PC if Pegasus is not "open"! Invalid drivers will be installed if you do and it's a real pain to make things right.
Then, when Pegasus reports that your Gryphon is "connected", click on [Updates]->[Gryphon Update Manager] to replace the custom tunes with canned tunes that should work on your truck.

Sounds good. I downloaded Pegasus last night, so hopefully i can instal today.
So i tried to update the programmer, but, it says it is up to date... Does that mean the custom tunes are replaced already or do I have to do somehting else?

Plug it into the truck and see. As long as you don't try to program someone else's tune your're safe.
But there's a rather important maxim you should follow: "If it ain't broke, don't 'fix' it!". The firmware updates to the Gryphon were designed to take care of specific anomalies that a FEW units displayed. If yours is working fine, don't try to improve it. You may regret doing so.
I've NEVER updated the firmware on my Gryphon since the day I installed it. And, I've never had a single problem with it.

Yes, except that the performance tune is now called "93 performance".

Alright, so I was on vaca this weekend, and before I left I plugged the programmer back into my truck and the 3 tunes still show are the 2 custom and the 93 canned tunes. Still cant figure out how to reset the programmer...
