I'm sure this has been discussed before but searching with my phone is not working.

I have an Edge CTS with a custom tune from PHP that I'm going to sell. What needs to be done before I sell it so I don't screw the new owner? Is it as simple as setting my truck back to stock then uninstalling the unit?
Any help will be appreciated.

 

The truck will have to be returned to stock in order to un-lock the tuner, then it can be removed. The new owner will have to get new custom tunes to match his trucks PCM HEX code. He cannot use the custom tune you have on the tuner now.

 

Thanks, I thought that's all there was too it. Also I figured my custom tune would be useless in a different truck due to differing HEX codes.

 

Once you return your truck to stock, if you connect the CTS to Fusion on your PC, it will automatically replace any custom tuning with their own canned tunes, that should work on other vehicles.
