You can't use Troyer custom tunes on a different truck. You need to contact a tuner and get tunes written for YOUR truck. Return it to stock till you do to avoid damage.

 

this dang thing is really p'in me off!!!! went to sct site and downlaoded their software thingy. plugged in device to search for updates, said it needed to be updated. now it says theres a problem and to call customer service which is closed. now i cant use the tuner cause it says:
system start up
please wait...
files system ERROR
Needs to be reloaded

wtf?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! cant find the supposedly 3 canned tunes nor how to delete the custom tunes that were already loaded on to it.

 

Sounds like it needs to be unlocked - it's still "married" to the truck it was on before. SCT should be able to do that, but it will cost you.

 

its unlocked, i have used it a couple times already but went to download an update to the tuner when this meesage appeared

 

I got the same error message last night when I plugged my x3 into the computer for the first time last night. I got a message on my computer screen to reinstall the update, so I did. The xcal said that it was formatting and then updating. After the update all was well. My programmer is 'unmarried'. Maybe try and plug it in and update it again. As for the lack of canned tunes, my x3 is the 3000 which doesn't have preloaded tunes on it for our trucks. Maybe yours is the same? I believe the 3015 is the one with the preloaded tunes

 

Here is the problem. You bought a used device, loaded with a custom tune for someone else' truck. That tune was written for the last owner's strategy code. Don't use it.
