Just got the tuner last week and put it on 87 performance. I've noticed it has a serious lag in 1-2-3 for a couple seconds when I'm easy on the pedal. It'll lag, gain some rpm then kick in and go. Is this normal? I have a '10 5.4. I also noticed a pinging outta the motor. I put bout 400 miles on it from wednesday to today and put it back to stock today till I hear more info. I plan on gettin the 87 economy tune here shortly, but I wanna know first if this is normal

 

Doesn't sound normal to me, Where did you get it from ?

 

put it back to stock and call whoever you bought it from<<<hopefully you bought it from a reputable tuner.....

were you running canned or custom tunes?

A Troyer tune is not a canned tune...

 

yep...but the sf3 can have both canned and custom on it....

 

I'd be contacting troyer then and let him know what's going on....if it isn't doing it in one of the canned tunes or stock let him know this...

 

I didn't see where the option was for the canned tunes? Only had 3 tunes to chose from

when you got the sct sf3 did it have tunes on it?

or did you load a tune on it from troyer?

Troyer 93 tow
Power 87 perf2

There is another folder that says strategy tune but has no options
