Canned VS Custom tunes

Ok I have read about everything I can find on tunes. What I haven't found is the HP and Torque differences between the canned and custom. I need to find out if the price is worth the gain. I have added a CAI and cat back duals to the truck and I have the ram air hood waiting to come back from paint. I'm not going drag racing with it but I would like to get all I can within reason out of this engine. Would a TB Spacer and a larger throttle be of any benefit at this point? Are larger injectors of any benefit?? I may add a Super Charger next when it's feasible in the budget. I am leaning towards the new one by Edelbrock a name that has served me well for 40+ years on the streets and strips. I know many here prefer the Whipple and I will explore the pros and cons of both. It's not easy for an old schoool mechanic to get up to speed with all these computer controled systems. I'll adapt but I could sure use some younger ideas from those who really understand all this new technology. I older but still openminded, no one knows it all.

Please read link>>> https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...unes-read.html

Tb spacers are a waist of money on a fuel injected motor....

Bigger fuel injectors wont benefit nothing right now with the motor being N/A.....super charger kits usually include them.....

Why whipple? More boost can be aquired through upgrades.....not many of the others offer that.....

Get yourself a custom tunable programmer such as an SCT Xcal.

This is a great base mod, and unlocks the door to everything else you will want to do.

If you plan to supercharge, you need custom tunes...

And an "order of operations"

Start with the programmer(5 Star tuning is great)

Then some e-fans,

headers and 2-1/2" true duals,

Shift kit,

Trans cooler,
