Talking New CAI and tuner

I just purchased a Volant 197546 PowerCore Cool Air Intake and an Edge 15051 Evolution Programmer on Amazon for my 2007 Screw XLT 4x4 5.4L. Just wondering if there are any tips or suggestions I should know about before I install these on my truck.

The Edge canned tunes are written for the stock intake. You will see very little gain out of the CAI without a custom tune, plus, if it relocates the MAF, it can cause you to run lean.

Doesn't Amazon have a liberal return policy?

umm you can return one or the other,

i'd do this 1. keep edge and keep stock intake in

OR if you really want that volant intake, return the edge and invest in a custom tuner with files done specifically for the mods your truck has

Oops

:o Obviously I screwed up big time. I thought I researched these products on this forum but not well enough. I have requested a cancellation on both the CAI and the tuner, guess I will see what happens. Thanks for all of the constructive criticism and I will do some more research.
Thank you MGDfan for your input.

Well I managed to cancel the the order for The Edge tuner and the Volant CAI I refused shipment on so it is on its way back. I am gong to do the kd4crs version of the DWV Intake Mod for 2004-2008 F150 with 5.4L Engine today. I will probably order a Gryphon cs or maybe the Gryphon cts but have to save up some money.

I miss him. MGD, if you're still out there, we'd be glad to have you back.
I used to look forward to the "gentle sarcasm", which, of course, drove some "thin-skinned" people right up the wall.
