A Gryphon is simply an Edge that's been converted to take custom tunes. However, with an 08, the stock Edge CS/CTS can be custom tuned by the same company (PHP). If you buy it from them, custom tunes are half price. The Bullydog is junk.

PHP isn't that far from you - they are in Winder GA and they have a dyno.

Have you read the sticky thread at the top of this forum? That is a good place to start.

Depends entirely on what you want it to do, what mod future you see for the truck, and your budget.

8" rize?

We drive bricks on wheels....getting better mileage comes more from the driver and routine maintenance than it would a programmer......better mileage doesn't happen on the gassers like it does the diesels.....

Some experience a slight improvement, but not near enough to pay for the tuner. You get a tuner for the improved performance, not mpg.

You may see .5MPG if you are lucky but performance is going to be so so unless the truck is super charged or turbo charged. You just don't get the performance out of a N/A engine by tuning it like you do with a forced induction engine like a diesel or super charged truck and even then there are supporting mod's that have to go along with it. You are also going to need to spend some money on gears when you put the lift and bigger tires on the truck or your transmission and engine are going to hate life.
