Tuning software for laptop?

My roommate uses this tuning software on his laptop that he uses to tune his Silverado with. It pretty much lets you modify anything in the tune. Anyway, he def knows what hes doing. He's pushing over 700HP and running 10.7's in the quarter. Figured I could learn a lot from him. But I was just wondering if there is software like that for our trucks that we can use. Not something I'm comfortable with playing with now, but maybe later on.

Anything like this out there?

Yeah, I knew that our motors are ohc design. I just wish I knew more about the vct. I have a basic idea I think. By "vct modular", you mean variable cam timing right? And does that just advance timing or does it actually change valve lift as well?

I'll look into what sct has. Sounds interesting. Thanks

It does not change lift, just timing.
