I will be recieving my Gryphon shortly and will be waiting for my custom tune until PHP has written it. I've come to understand that my take a while, which is fine with me. I'm sure its worth waiting for. Which canned tune should I run in the meantime? I belive PHP reccomends running the 87 tow tune until I recieve the custom tune. Is that the best tune to run while waiting? I guess it would be since I'm using 87 octane fuel, even though I'm no towing anything. Right? Just looking for a little advice and input on the matter.

 

Don't you have an after-market intake? If so, then yes, use the canned tow tune.

If you haven't modified the intake system, then the canned 87 performance tune should also be fine.

 

Yes I do have an intake so in that case the 87 tow is reccomended because it runs a little richer, right?

I thought the "new" CS/CTS canned tunes were 87 performance, 87 tow, and 91+ performance.

After reading your fix, I guess they are tranny only, 87 tow, and 91+ performance (like the old Edge Evolution canned tunes).
