flashpaq vs predator

I have a 04 5.4. Im looking for a little performance gain for somewhat cheap. Now i know these aint custom tune and wont perform like them so im not worried. Which would you guys pick from the two. Im sort of liking the predator a little more cause in the future i can do a cai if i want to. so what you guys pick i will probably buy. So if i could get some opinions soon that would be great cause i will order tommorow

Predator, between those 2. But would look for a used Edge or Gryphon, too.

You don't have to leave it on your dash. It can be unplugged and removed, however, I would hate to not have it on my dash. I use the 4 gauge read out constantly. I keep track of engine temp, tranny temp, voltage and digital speedometer.

Superchips also accomodates CAIs.

I use a ScanGageII for extra gages.

Yes and yes... and if you want custom tunes in the future, you can do that too.

These things are just different versions of hardware to deliver a computer program.

I'm not sure why people are so diehard on one brand or another when it is actually the tune that makes the difference and not necessarily the tuner.

Make sure that you update it to the latest revision of the tunes if it doesn't already have them on there. There is a definite difference between the new and old.

Agreed.

It should be up to date assuming it shipped from here within the last few months.

Thanks

Go to their website and do some reading up on it. You have to download the software along with the update and there are instructions on there as to how to load it.
