Sct x3

Got my X3 from VMP this week and just programmed my 2010 F150. All I have to say is WOW!!! It drives like a brand new truck. I can't believe the difference in the responsiveness...everything just runs better. I used the tow tune, now to test it towing the TT. Thanks Justin...the custom tune is awesome.

A tuned truck is certainly better than an untuned one, isn't it? Glad you've joined our ranks.

I just got my SCT X3 from Troyer. Now I just need to wait for my custom tunes. Waiting sucks.

Sawman, if you want to get your custom tunes from Troyer sometime in this lifetime, you will probably have to make an appointment and drive to his shop. I'd be surprised if you got your tunes sometime in the next 6 months if you don't. His mail order backlog is ridiculous.

I checked with Troyer before purchasing from VMP. Justin had the fastest turn around. Got mine with custom tunes in 3 weeks. He replied to every email and gave me updates on my order. Would definitely recommended VMP.

I wonder why vmp doesn't sell the extreme touch. That looks like where I am heading. I know the x3 does everything the touch would and would be cheaper, but I like the display feature and I can't go gryphon because I mistakenly burned my bridges with them.

I can get the SCT Touch for about $730 from auto anything. I just emailed Justin if he can do a tune for that unit.

I was considering the Extreme Touch also, but decided I really didn't need the display and gauges. The X3 fit the bill perfectly. Justin at VMP turned it around quickly and I couldn't be happier.

warranty question

i went to the sct website. it says it stores the stock tune. my question is would this void the warranty? and if you install the stock tune before bringing the truck in for service. would they be able to tell the oem tune was messed with?

1. Technically, only if the tune was a contributing factor for the failure.
2. Yes, if they wanted to.

Some dealers don't really care, others are very mod-hostile.

I was told 8 weeks or so. I'm also considering driving it down there for some other work and have it thrown on their dyno. We'll see, I can be pretty patient.

If you actually get your tunes in 8 weeks, please let everyone know. I hate to keep ******* on Troyer, but I highly doubt that you will if things go the way they have been for the past couple of years.

I must say that Justin as of today is as slow as Troyer since I purchase my X3 from Justin with 91 Octane files but with the gas prices rising almost every day, I've asked him to send me the 89 Octane files over 3 weeks ago and haven't heard back from him except for asking for the serial number. Honestly, I'm at a point where I'm thinking about sending the unit back and get my refund back. Not to please with customer services!!! Is there somewhere else that I can get some flashes?

Thank you
