Damian, Bluejay, Longshot and Shotgunz all gave you excellent advice. Longshot and 88Racing are Mods on PHP's forum too, by the way, and so am I - (this is in the interests of "full disclosure" - we aren't paid and have no stock in the company, we just happen to like Bill and Corey Cohron, the owners).

Now, you possibly talked to Cody, who is a tuner that works with Bill. He may or may not have totally understood your situation, but one guiding principle that PHP follows is: "Don't sell something to someone who doesn't really need it." They would rather turn away business than take your money for something you don't need.

So, MY opinion now: I THINK you could benefit from custom tunes. Not a lot, but some. The 2007 truck does not have the lean problem that the 2004-2005 truck had, but still, a custom tune is going to be better than a "canned" one. How much? I cannot say, and it's possibly not enough better to justify the cost to you. You'd have to do a before/after comparison yourself and report back to us. You probably do not have the "dangerous lean condition" that has been talked about here. Still, your setup is not "optimum". How much is this worth to you? I can't answer this, only you can.

- Jack

I myself have the 2005 XLT, no clue if I'm running in the slightly dangerous lean zone, with my Gotts mod intake, but I figure the Edge EVO evens it out, hopefully

One more time, the Edge will not make any adjustments for a lean condition that the stock tune does not make other than on Level 2, it is slightly richer. That being said, the Gotts mod is not going to cause a lean condition as you have not changed the position of the MAF.

Congrats, I'm sure there is still fun to be had.

Same gains but at $.20/gallon cheaper. Looks like a win-win to me

BlueJay, you have been a fountain of knowledge since I've started my love of this website, I was just making a statement more than asking a question, I should have probably worded it in a better way...I'm using the edge evo level 2, I'm not concerned about the engine being too lean...you have taught me well...thank you for your continued contribution to us noobs

This seems like a good place to ask my question. I'm planning on sending my Edge in to get upgraded, but need my hex code. Is there any way to get it without going back to the shop?

It's been so long since I have done this, but I think if you unplug the dash monitor, then with the key on, but do not start the truck, plug the monitor back in and I think your HEX will be displayed.

You can unplug and replug with the truck running as well.

Happens to me once in a while when the remote start doesn't turn over on the first time. Radio, dash, lights are all on (as is the Edge) as if you put the key in and turned it to the "on" position.

With Edge's previous Lightning software (now obsolete), you could hook it up to your computer and it would spit out the hex code of your truck - pending you applied a tune and didn't use it for gauges only.

IDK if the new Fusion software does the same. Worst case is to test it out.
