PHP Gryphon and Magnaflow - New question.

Sorry, I am new to programmers but I just bought a PHP Gryphon from the classifieds. It was set back to factory. Is it ok to run as is until I get a custom tune with the magnaflow exhaust I currently have on the truck?

Thanks for the replies...second question. As long as the seller returned it to stock, I can use it on my truck right? There was another one that my friend was looking at that has custom tunes on it, I told him to make sure it is returned to stock first. Is that correct?

EDIT: According to the stickied thread: 4. Sell the programmer to someone else or want to use it on another vehicle. As long as there's a "tune" programmed into YOUR truck, the programmer is married to your truck and will not work on any other vehicle!

The person selling it has sold the truck and it still has the custom tunes on it. Can he just plug it in to the fusion software and return the gryphon cs to stock?

Don't buy a used programmer that still has the custom tunes on it. They will NOT work in your truck (or your friend's).

Now, there MAY be a problem with the CS/CTS programmers that have custom tunes loaded. If the firmware has not changed, Fusion may NOT return the tunes to the canned versions. (Fusion does not give the user much control and it just does things the way Edge decides is best for everyone.) I've just learned that this possibility exists. I think Bill Cohron at PHP can set a targeted download in Fusion though that will fix things. However, your friend needs to talk to Bill to make sure.
