What tune to run on edge

At the moment Im getting around 14.5 MPG mixed driving. I rarely tow anything aside from a double jetski trailer maybe once a week during summer. I do a lot of mixed driving daily probably about 5-10miles city and maybe 20 highway. I'm trying to decide if i should run the level 2 or 3. I currently have it on level 3 and the only change I have made was to account for my tires. I was wondering which would be more beneficial as far as MPG go, either running the tow tune with 93 octane and +2-3 timing or the level 3 with +1 timing. Also has anyone messed around with the normal driving shift points and seen any decent gains out of it? I plan on running this tune until I get my gear swap and then have it sent out for a custom tune. Any info would be of great help. More or less I'm looking for some commonly made adjustments for a daily driver truck.

Hi - it's been discussed, oh, once or twice

Sadly - you can play with settings until yer nuts fall of, but you won't affect MPG's much at all.

Just ensure you are running with the TC locked as much as possible. There *may* be a tweak for specifically that - you'll need to go search for it, though - I don't own one of these thangs (much prefer SCT + Scanguage II combo - far more flexible, with superior datalogging and many more displayable Pids - sorry).

Ahhhh, what da chit - here's yer freebie, lol:

BTW - Just run L2/Tow on 87 until yer custom-tuned - save some money. IMHO.

Take the guess work out of messing around with settings and get the unit upgraded to a Gryphon along with custom tunes......

I ran Level 3 with 93 for about 30,000 miles. This was much more responsive at higher rpms on the highway than Level 2. I bumped the timing 1.0 or 1.5, I forget. I got enough better mileage to pay for the difference in 87 and 93. I did this until I got wise and got a custom 87 Perf tune.
