Hey tuners (TROYER!!!) an ETA on when we're going to see tuning for the 3.7??!
It's been quite an evolution since I first became a member of this site ten years ago. My first post, under my original screen name of SPG2Shy, asking how to get rid of a speed limiter, through the installation of a Magnancharger on the 4.6/5-speed in my '98 STX, through the purchase of a very slightly enjoyed '04 Lighting, to the reality check of the '06 Expedition and a little tuning, and now, low and behold, I'm in a V6 F150.
It doesn't matter what I'm driving, since I got hooked up with Troyer Performance, I've understood the NEED for tuning.
So, I've now got a 2011 F150, regular cab, 4X4, with the 3.7 V6, and I really think that some tunes are just what it needs to make a good truck great.
Mike, anyone at Troyer Performance, anyone tuning these trucks, can we get an ETA on when we might see some tuning for the 3.7??!

Not yet. I'm just throwing stuff out there right now. I think it's going to be a while before we see tuning for the 3.7.
I'll be in contact with them soon.

Try getting with a Mustang shop. They are already tuning and modding the 3.7s.

Apparently so.
I've been driving an Edge for the past few years. I bought some tunes and a couple other things from Troyer for the Expedition that I had before that.
Anyone can fill me in on the scoop.
Really this isn't about Troyer per se. I would like to hear from anyone who knows something about when we might see something in the way of tuning for the 2011 F150, specificly the V6.

Troyer's custom tune turnarounds are running close to or over a year, at least that's what several of his customers are posting. There's not much contradiction to that fact. You might drop Justin Starkey an e-mail at VMP Tuning and see what he can do for you. There is also information on other tuners in this forum with respectable turn around times. But you could be in for quite a wait with Troyer.

I spoke with Mike last week and he is currently working on tuning for the 6.2. From what he was telling me they are having a blast with it. Give him a call and see what he can do for you. I talk to Mike on almost a weekly basis via email or phone. I don't know about the post of folks waiting a year and I'm not looking to start a flame war either but that just sounds stupid and I would say its either a few of his enemies or competition posting that crap.
Looks like your having fun with your supercharged F150! I hope to do something like that again some day.

Wow! I wasn't looking to insult anyone. I also didn't show up at Mikes shop with a wad of cash. I bought a fuel system and a tune from him. I see the ocassional "waaaahhh" threads about how Mike took somebodys money and blah blah blah. Some may be legit and some not. However in my opinion you cannot rightly expect any business person to jump through hoops for say $100 when they have customers wanting thousands of dollars worth of work done.
I have no bone to pick with Troyer, but I'm also not a fanboy. It's become pretty obvious that you will be waiting a VERY LONG time for his mail-order tunes, that's just the way it is. If I were to get custom tunes, Troyer would be on my short list, but I would NEVER do it mail order. I would make an appointment and go to his shop and spend the bucks to stay in a hotel for a night or two. If I wanted mail-order tunes in any kind of timely manner, I'd use someone else.
