if you're referring to a supercharger canned tunes then I'll agree....
And
I'll agree that strapping the truck down to rollers is best....

But I'll disagree on the mail order ones being a little better than canned tunes....at least they're based on your trucks pcm code and not a catch all calibration...

Then the other thing you got to look at is cost and wear and tare....doing the dyno is considerably more than mail order ones....

Just curious, what does a mail order tune cost? My dyno tunes have always been in the $300 range. Thats from 3 different shops in 2 states so I guess its safe to say thats the going rate.

Depends WHO and WHAT and HOW MANY you buy at the time you purchase the custom tunes......

Some are the more tunes you buy, the cheaper each tune is...
$120 for 3

Some others are if you buy the programmer at the same time...
$30 each

It all depends.....

Maybe for supercharger applications, but I went from canned tune to Mike's mail-order tune and the difference was night and day. More power everywhere, better throttle response, and the transmission was 1000x better. No comparison. I'm sure a dyno tune would be even better.

I paid $150 total for 3 mail order tunes from Mike 3 years ago and I got them 6 weeks after I placed my order.

Not to beat a dead horse, but you sure aren't going to get them in 6 weeks these days. If you are lucky, you MIGHT get them in 6 months, but even that looks like a dream now.
