Hi & welcome.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...-edge-evo.html

Initially, leave it at default for the octane levels specified for each tune. Don't just play without first gaining some experience and insight into what it is you are doing. Safer that way

As for WOT ( wide-open throttle - fuel scalar) - that info, and a lot more, is in the owner's manual - a must-read.

BTW - please don't crosspost - no need to post the same question in mutiple threads - thanks.

thanks for your advice, I did look into the manual for WOT but could not locate any info on it. I have done motor swaps befor and i am familiar with grabbing ahold of a distributer cap and turning it till the timing sounds good but this computer stuff has me baffled because i cannot run the engine while im setting it...the preset values on the tuner do not enable me to increase my idle rpms so i need to set it up custom as the vehicle was stalling in the factory presets. so once again do you have a suggestion as to how far i should advance the timing to get the best performance? any other tips would be appreciated also.

Hmmm ... there are more example settings thna you can shake a stick at in the link provided above. You need to keep in mind it's just a Global spark adder, not granular like an SCT device can provide - plus every truck is different and will tolerate varying levels of advance before pinging ( with loss of power resutling in the PCM knock sensing system pulling out timing).

Tread very carefully - this is not yer father's distributor

WOT is indeed explained in the manual - as is a general guideline for advance versus octane settings, and timing adjustments...
