Phoenix Chip?

Anyone got one? Thinking about getting one with 3 custom tunes for my 97'..wondering if it would be cheaper in the long run instead getting a sct x3 or livewire with custom tunes.

The phoenix chip is a great way to have custom tunes...
Especially the on the fly feature of switching tunes....
But...
A programmer allows for end user adjustments without sending the chip back in to be reburned. Instead you wait for a new file to be emailed to you while you still get to use the tunes you have on the programmer....

Your choice
Your truck
Your money...

Thanks, are the phoenix chips geared more towards diesel trucks? I never really heard of them when I was looking at chipping my truck a year or so ago. I'm leaning more towards it from what I read the 97-98's don't respond well to programmers.

Read it on a different forum it was mostly about edge/gryphon ones, that's good to hear though have to check out that guy in Tally that does them.

If your looking at tuners for a truck that is within the years of 97-03+04h f150s stay away from the edge evolution.....
There is a cable issue.....that may leave your vehicle disabled and you stranded during a programming session....

SCT, phoenix, or edge CS+CTS are safe platforms and can have custom tunes.....
