'09 5.4 SCREW
Stock 0-60 on 93 octane 8.5 seconds
PHP (Edge CTS) canned 93 perf on 93 octane 0-60 8.4 seconds (timing way too advanced)
PHP Custom 93 0-60 on 93 octane 0-60 8.2 seconds (timing still a little too advanced)
PHP Custom 87 0-60 on 93 octane 0-68 7.8 seconds (timing just right)

2005 5.4 XLT stock: 224.45 HP / 297.96 #TQ. Gryphon Custom Performance 93 tune: 259.66 HP / 339.93 TQ. That's an increase of 35 HP / 40 #TQ. Well worth it.

Thats nice, numbers like make me think of only getting 87 performance.

with your truck and mods it's gonna be a lot more noticeable than the stock truck fellers

I did pull my snorkel off my air intake box. I will likely modify it to make it larger and reinstall it. My IAT is significantly higher at idle without it. With it, my IAT was about ambient air temperature. With this "Gotts mod," my IAT can be 20 degrees higher at idle and low speeds. I am looking forward to seeing if this difference is so noticeable in the summer when it matters.

I used a field tile connector. I believe it was 3". It's soft enough to conform to the irregular shape and the right length without any trimming.

In all fairness, if the truck is moving at highway speeds, it probably doesn't matter where the air is coming from. But, at city speeds, this is an HAI for sure. However, in the winter, it may actually be somewhat beneficial too.
