For the '09 and '10 the CTS definitely does not program the TCM. The shift firmness is modified a little by tweaking the reported torque output from the ECM. This is directly from Bill at PHP a couple of weeks ago. He has been asking Edge to do this for many months. It was in beta in October, but no word on a release date. The lack of TCM control means that the tuner has limited influence on shift firmness and no influence on shift points. My truck still has over a second lag before downshifting at highway speed. PHP said that their TCM modifications (currently available when using the SCT) help significantly with this delay.

The 04 to 08 does not have a separate TCM - the tranny functions are handled by the PCM. All the programmers for the 04-08 can tweak the tranny.
