If I ever buy a programmer, I'm going to buy it from a tuner who (a) knows what they are doing and (b) I will make an appointment to go have it done at THEIR shop, preferably with a dyno. I'll spend the money to drive to wherever it is and get a hotel room for a night or two if necessary. Troyer and PHP are on my short list if I ever decide to do it. I will NOT deal with mail order tunes from ANYONE due to all the issues I've been seeing here. I'd rather spend a lot more money and avoid any and all hassles. I'm very old school - I prefer my business transactions to be face to face, not over the Internet or on the phone - which is a joke anyway, who ever answers their phone any more?

I don't have access to their support tickets or emails to let them know who they should be looking for.

One thing that could've happened is your emails got lost or blocked in cyberspace along with theirs also.

If you could call and talk to Cody today it would be much apprieciated his hours are 12-5 pm est.
And
It's a PIA but fill out another support ticket but reference my user name in it so they'll know its about your tunes.

Sorry about my attitude earlier but I hate dead horses.

Peace
Thank you - I appreciate your willingness to help. I don't want to be a jerk about this situation either - I feel the same way about "forum dead horses" - but I am sure you can understand my situation.

Thanks again - sorry for the tone on my end.

Please call their main office number right now to get ahold of Cody so you can get this straightened out. Don't call the Montana one.
Here's the number 678-890-1110

Thanx

I will give them a call as soon as I get back in the office (on a job right now). If I don't make it back in time, I will make sure to get another support ticket in tonight. I will let everyone know how everything turns out.

Thanks again

Honestly, couldn't agree more. I like my gryphon, but there are too many variables that can go wrong. I've experienced it personally. I will keep it as a monitor, but I'm prolly just gonna keep running the canned 93 the more I think about it. Keep up on maintenance and then eventually get an SCT product from a shop that uses a dyno.

PHP puts out an excellent product and they are very good people. As said before, the company has very serious communication problems and issues with delivery schedules.

I'm not going to go into my wait times, they would make the original poster's seem like a dream. I've moved on and I'm not going to beat a dead horse.
88racing is involved on their site, I am not. I'm not even a member over there and the only support I have given is as a satisfied customer. I have recommended the product as a user. As far as "protecting" them, I will allow normal complaints but will not allow out of control bashing of any supporting vendor. I would treat Troyer the same as PHP.

I don't understand that thinking when VMP, Troyer and PHP have done hunderds, maybe 1000s successfully. I was very satisfied with the Edge canned tunes until I got the PHP tunes. I know I could probably get a bit more out of the truck with a dyno, but frankly, I just don't need any more. I am quite pleased with how it performs, even at 111,000 miles.

My tune needed to be altered... I never tried the new version. I'm running 93 now instead on the canned. I might look into them dynoing it down the road. It makes me nervous with what can go wrong. All these trucks are different

folkxrock - I'm also a PHP forum moderator. Please feel free to PM me your contact information (name and phone number would be most helpful) and I'll try to get this resolved for you.

And, for your information, 88Racing and PHPDiesel are really trying to help you, as am I. So, help us do that.

- Jack
