Anyone actually receive a PHP tune?

I know as I post this thread about three different users are going to get their panties in bunch because they post the "go-team" on every PHP thread (just do search and you will see the same "pro-php" folks on every thread) - but seriously, has anyone actually received a tune from PHP?

I am really close to giving up hope. My tune is going for the 5-month mark. I think that is a little excessive when 4-6 weeks was in bold red letters at the top of the invoice.

Panty-bunchers - go ahead and post up all the reasons why my tune is so excessively delayed - excuses are what excuses are in business - period.

Good Products + Good Service = Good Business
Good Products + Bad Service = Bad Business

Bad Service - not delivering a product by the stated time (or double that time, or getting close to triple the stated time).

I know of many members that have received tunes from PHP, and have been very pleased with the results. I believe many others have experienced long wait times too. I will say 5 months is probably longer than I would be willing to wait, so I commend your patience. I know in the past PHP had some issues (family related and a business relocation) that caused some set backs, but I don't know what road blocks they are experiencing now. I have been considering customs tunes for a while, just have not gotten around to it. Curious to see how everything works out for you. I will be following this, please keep us posted. Good luck.

As a matter of fact - YES. Several times. Phone, email, support tickets - what do you suggest next - golden scroll? Maybe that would get someone's attention?
Go ahead and post up what will work. I am out of solutions.

"Please hold, we very busy at the moment and value your business, but we regret to inform you that you are not the only customer we have at the moment and are trying to keep up the demand of ALL our customer's, not just one as is the way of every successful business, a representative will be with you as soon as they become available. thank you."

this should be PHP's new hold message for needy customers.

P.S. i'm not a PHP groupie, but they are good hard working people, also i'm not weareing any underwear so my panties can't be in a bunch.

By needy do you mean those waiting more than 3 months, 4 months or 5 months - I just want to make sure we are on the same page.

I am not saying they don't work hard, or put out a bad product (I can't comment on that part for obvious reasons).

Hi.

Wellsir - perhaps it's because they don't have PCM codes fer yer truck just quite yet:

Seriously - everyone knows I'm no PHP bigot - I'm an SCT man meeself - but this is not an uncommon problem for very small, very, very busy family bidnesses who also desire to have some semblance of a family life.

Sometimes things occur (illness, etc) beyond anyone's control - and either the customer base deals with it - or not. It's that simple.

Yer new - so I would not expect you to know that another very experienced and popular tuner - Troyer Performance - is also running a long queue. Has been for quite some time. And the same ranting occurs. And people either deal with it - or not.

Frankly - a little up-front research on your part would have a least forewarened you that delays may be a possibility - it's happened before.

If you cannot wait - get yer money refunded and go with VMP - you'll have device & tunes in hand within a couple/few days.

i should have also added that the more people heckle them, the more they have to deal with the people which takes away from work getting done.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did do some upfront research, and even called PHP first. They told me the current wait time was 4-6 weeks, but no more than 8-weeks if they became really backed up. I was 100% fine with two months (since they mentioned it up front). However, since that time, I have been told another week on at least three different occasions. I don't treat my clients like that, and I guess I expect the same treatment. If anything my experience with PHP has reinforced what I tell my employees all the time. You can do the best job in the world on the final product, but if you mess up the details - you messed up the entire experience.

I just don't buy the "family business" bit. If you go into business, you are in business - doesn't matter if you are one guy with PC or Wal-Mart. I have all sorts of problems in my business, machines break down, employees don't show up, suppliers mess up orders - but those are my problems - and why I get paid - they are not a problem for my clients.

However, you are 100% correct, if I don't like it - I should take my business elsewhere. I suppose I should start researching the refund process.

I am still curious if anyone has actually received a PHP tune.

I guess if work was completed on time, they would not have any issues. That seems to work for most businesses. You are right though, excuses do take a lot of time out of your day.

I received 2 a couple of years ago. Wouldn't want to run my truck without them. Have about 50,000 miles using them.

Well you are probably not going to be happy with my status but I received mine the other day. Took them about 2 weeks. Call, call, and call again until you talk to Corey. Explain your situation. She will get you an answer. I guarantee it.

Nice. That is service. Thanks for letting me know though.
I have been dealing with Corey - maybe I have been too nice? I hate to ask this, but were you nice or an a$$ when you called. You know, this pretty much sums up the theory that has been building in my head - but it is not nice, so I won't post it. Alright, time to search out that refund and move on.
