just letting you all know if you have big tires a edge programmer is not a good combination.

That's a pretty general statement. There are a lot more success stories than failures.

I'd say the tranny longevity (with larger tires) depends on a lot of factors. Here's a few:

1. How you drive the truck
2. What you use it for (towing, hauling, off roading, plowing, etc.)
3. Changes made to the Edge settings
4. Maintenance

A re-gear would have been a better investment than the Edge if transmission life was the concern.

wow thanks guy for all the responses.. like i said earlier, i plan on sending it off eventually, i just dont have the time, money, or want to do it right now.. i do a lot of in town driving, and when i do get on the highway i hit that cruise control anyways. still have one more question, i realize that the programmer i set up with a stock intake.. but will i really see little to no gains because i have a CAI?
