Programmer for Supercharged Trucks

Hello all. I am new to the website and boy do I have some questions. I just spent the past 2 hours browsing the website and everyone seems very knowledgeable on any topic you can come up with. So here goes:

I drive an 02' HD F-150. It just turned over 100k and is still running like new, god damn I love this truck. So I am looking into buying a Programmer, the ones where you can do the custom tunes. I looked at a few and they meet the standards of what I want to do but my question is will they work with a supercharged truck or do I need a special Programmer?

I want to be able to create a few tunes. One for each of the following categories:
1)I wanna be Ricky Bobby! In this tune I'm looking for raw horsepower and torque. I know I won't get a whole lot of this from a programmer but it's somewhere to start.
2)The main reason I am looking into a programmer is to save gas. I am in the Air Force and my base is located in Virginia but I have family in New Jersey. Needless to say it's a long drive and I do it a lot. It's about 6 hours and 300 miles to give you an idea. I would like to lower my RPM's at higher speeds (I guess that would be changing the shift points?). I currently sit around 2,600rpm @ 70mph and I would like to sit on 2,000rpm @ 70mph if that is possible.

Please give me some insight on what I would need to do to make these ideas a possibility. Thanks guys!

2600 rpm at 70? Either it's not shifting into overdrive, or you have 4.88 gears in that thing. A programmer won't fix that.

Might be a lil less, I haven't been on the highway in about a week and I forget. Ill pull up the digital tach and let you know for sure. So pretty much the only way to lower my rpm at a higher speed is to get a different final drive? Something like 3.63 maybe?

Final drive now should be either 3.83 or 3.73. I'm having trouble finding tech specs on my truck online.

So about that programmer... special one needed for superchargedness?

Where is that? Are you talking about the sticker on the front driver side door with the weight on it and all?

So you the end user want to be able to create your own tunes?
Then I would recommend contacting SCT to see where you can get signed up for a class.....be prepared to pony up some dough cause it ain't going to be cheap......

#1 you have 3.73 gears stock and with the stock size tires on it, you're turning a lil ' high RPMs did anyone switch the gears to 4.10's???

#2 you need a reputable tuner, one with experience (PM me if you want my tuners info) and my trucks have free adjustments for a lifetime so no matter what mods I make I get fresh tunes for free

also you need to clean your i/c core and change your plugs for the amount of boost you'll be running

I wonder if the Torque Converter is not locking? Those RPMs at that speed are about what you might get with a slipping TC.
