new to tuners

First off I want to thank Jack and janet for the link in the signiture because I learned alot from there.

I don't have a tuner or chip but considering one, just curious of a few chips/tuners. Any one reccomend a certain chip that they use for increased mpg and off roading purpose( more power I suppose)
For example I see advertismesnts for 60 horse power and 7 mpg , 7 seems like a lie but im up for a few extra mpgs and some hp

Like I said COMPLETELY new to the whole chips and tuners thing so any corrections or tips would be awesome, thanks!

Almost everyone will recommend you spend the extra $100 for custom tunes. Hardware depends on what you are looking for in the tuner (real-time gauges, data logging, etc.).

Regardless, any of the companies listed below can provide reliable and safe custom tunes as well as good technical support.

FYI
Ignore the Google adds.....80% are key off of what the content is in the page you are viewing.

Read read read
And
search search search

Then you'll get the jist of what tuner and programmer to use.

Call and talk to the people at the companies then you'll get your info first hand and not some regurgitated glorious post like we all can do and that has been repeated a million times..........

if you believe that BS you'd better get yourself about 16 throttle body spacers

Well there's your problem right there! Everyone knows to get the best overall throttle response, good WOT, and 5 mpg more, you need at least 17 throttle body spacers.
