Does VMP's SCT XCAL3 really fully support the '09?
No, once the tune is loaded it's faster. The tire size calibration was actually done as part of the custom tune, but I just wanted to check it and make sure so I re-did it. That took about 10 minutes, and it's not something you have to sit there and watch. That goes for the initial 45 minute tune as well. Just get it started and go about your business. Check on the status once in a while if you like.

If y'all recall Smokewagun's review, the initial load includes the saving of the stock tune - both PCM and TCM portions. This is what takes the longest. After that, switching between custom tunes or changing parameters is relatively quick.
As long as the stock tune is not reloading or saving, the delay is minimal. No need to keep tabs (after the initial nailbiting is over, and yer ***** return to their normal place of residence
) - just ensure a nice healthy batt charge is present. I use a batt tender even in summer while flashing. **** or what?
I pity the poor fence-sitters waiting fer CTS custom tuning, while you folks are already enjoying the benefits of stellar custom tunes. Fancy colour display? Pffft - bling (yawn) - touchy-feely screen (more yawning) - get a Scanguage,

Is there a website that will give us the rev/mile data by tire manufacturer and size?
Also, where can I find the rev/mile data for my factory tire/wheel combo so when I swap back for the winter.
Keep in mind the dimensions (diameter and circumference) and revs/mile do not include squish, so it's always a good idea to verify your odometer over a known distance (10+ miles) and correct as needed.

Awesome review on this unit. Im going to order one in a couple of weeks. I kinda wish I ordered a programmer instead of an exhaust, ah well just a few more weeks. Its good to hear that you had your programmer in 10 days. Ive read on here where it takes people months and to me that is absurd.
