Will a programmer help

I have a 07 with 3.55 gears, rated to haul 8,300 lbs. I have a 7,000 lb 5th wheel. Will a programmer give me more power in low end? What is the best brand to buy?

In two ways, one it will boost low end with a heavy tow tune but will most certainly require premium fuel only .... and then it will also sharpen up the shifts, less drag of clutches and bands = less heat = longer life.

As to brand, you'll get a wide variety of replies depending on what each has chosen themselves.

I chose the Superchips Flashpaq 1865. Works well for me but that's not to say it's the best as others have their own preferences.
