Hello gentleman Im in need of some info . I have a grphon programmer that was in my 08 and want to put it in my 01 .The truck has alot of miles on it (155000)so I starting to throw codes once and awhile .But I would like to get the 89 and 93 tune with out the shift tune . The truck has a shift kit in it and has 35 on in so i dont want it shifting hard .The truck has alot of mods on it . what can I do Im sore it would be easy to do but want to see if it would be worth it .Also wondering if i can use it on my 2010 to change the speed limiter But just that and only that on the 2010 . thanks for the info

 

PHP might be able to re-program it for the 01 (not real sure - the hardware may not be compatible), but you'll need new custom tunes.

You will not be able to use it to change your speed limiter on the 2010 and use it on the 01.

 

I don't think the hardware is compatible at all. I think if it were, PHP would not have been selling the pre-04 units for as long as they did.

And, the 04-04 Gryphon won't support a 2010 model year truck either. Possibly, you should have sold it with your 08 truck (for more money).

PHP DOES sell the CS/CTS units for 01s and there is an "on-the-fly" tune changing chip that works on that MY truck too.

There are certainly other makes of programmers that will support the 01 truck.

Hasn't DiabloSport started selling units for the 2010 trucks? You'd be able to adjust for Tire Size with these.

Thanks for the info,I wish I sold the truck well i guess u could say I sold the truck i was Tboned and the truck was totaled so insurance took it thats why i have a new one now So i guess i will sell the gryphon .But again thanks for the info .

But, BEFORE you sell your Gryphon, confirm what I said with PHP. They have the real answer - I'm just giving you an opinion.
