Re-do

I have an 2005 f150 xlt, w/5.4. I have a S&B CAI, and a Banks Programer on it.

I want to add a Banks cat back system, Do I need to send my programer back to banks engineering to have it reprogrammed for the Exhaust system ??

Thanks for everyones Help

The obvious answer to your question is, "Call Banks and ask them!" Why do you think WE would have the inside scoop on your specialized question?

Most of us have no knowledge whatsoever regarding Banks programmers.

I'm sure like with any programmer you could have the tunes updated to take full advantage of the new performance product, it may give you a decent little performance boost. But i'm sure with something like an exhaust upgrade that your not going to harm anything by running the truck with the existing tune.

Best of luck to you.

Becuase someone here may have done this exact thing. He was just asking a question. Ease up.

OP, you shouldn't need any adjustment to your tuner but if it makes you feel better you can call Banks.

I apologize to fr8daddy, and, thank you Ian, for pulling me up on this! I did NOT mean to sound sarcastic or condescending or whatever traits you want to put on me for my reply. I am honestly sorry if my reply was offensive.

I was simply pointing out that very few of us here have much direct knowledge of Banks' products. Personally, I know that cat back systems normally don't require changes to tunes, but since it's a Banks programmer and a Banks exhaust, I could not be sure. I wanted fr8daddy to get "real" information, not opinions. I thought he had a genuine question that deserved a genuine answer, one he could depend on.

I'll stick with my original recommendation to call Banks. You pay for their customer support and you might as well use it. But again, I'm sorry for the tone of my earlier reply. Sometimes I'm less than diplomatic. :o
