Edge CS?

I purchased an Edge Evo awhile back and everytime I changed programs it would kill my truck with F150ERROR. I sent it into Edge and it was replaced with the CS unit for my trouble... Thanks Edge..

My question however is the Evo had average miles per gallon and I can only locate instant miles per gallon on the CS as a selectable PID.

Did edge remove AMPG from their programmers?

Thanks Brasco

I never owned the older model Edge, but your right. This unit does not calc AMPG, only calcs IMPG.

My CTS does not allow me to monitor Average MPG either. I'm guessing here of course, but I suspect Edge removed that capability because they got tired of people complaining about it not being accurate.

Hmmm ... that would be unfortunate. I was hoping (as this came up before in Wacki's threads) that this was just a temporary product maturity situation until Edge gets some firmware updates & bugfixes published.

It makes no sense to remove popular features while simultaneously 'upscaling' the product.

Consider that the lowly, inexpensive Scanguage II provides this feature (and much more), and is accurate enough (for me, and I be picky, lol).

Proves it can be done. Let's hope that the 'complaints' engender product improvements, rather than feature-set reduction. These are 'flagship' products.

I learned, this morning from a post on PHP's forum that Edge IS planning to reissue the Avg MPG feature, but they are trying to make it more accurate than it was. (At least this is what their Tech Support told one of PHP's members).
